Backpack Survey for 10th and 11th Grade students

Students receiving a DLE device the last week of January can take the survey to recieve a free backpack that will help you protect your  DLE device.

DLE Lunch and Learn for
10th and 11th Grade Parents



If you missed the Lunch and Learn session,
There will be another session
at 6 pm January 14th.

The Black History Program Committee is sponsoring an Essay, Poetry, and Poster Contest to begin our Black History observance during the month of February. The theme for the entries is “A Century of Black Life: History and Culture” and should be reflected in the compositions. The contest is open to all students and will run from January 19-February 4, 2015.

Parents of 10th and 11th Grade Students

ECHS will host 2 Digital Learning Environment Parent Information Sessions on:
Date: Wednesday, January 14, 2015
Times: 12 Noon & 6:00 PM
Location: Media Center
Parents will be informed about the Digital Learning Environment initiative, policies, procedures and protocol. For any questions or concerns feel free to contact Ms. Lawson-Wilson at 803 735-7600. 

Please register for either event. Deadline is Monday January 12, 2015. Lunch and Dinner will be served.


Attention all 10th & 11th grade parents:
All 10th & 11th grade students at Eau Claire High School will have the opportunity to participate in the Richland One Digital Learning Environment initiative. On January 27th - 30th, 10th and 11th grade students will be able to receive laptops for instructional purposes only in conjunction with this initiative. These laptops are property of Richland One and will be collected at the end of the year. There is a Mandatory Protection Plan associated with the wireless devices that students will have in their care. It is imperative that the prorated $20.00 fee is paid in full to cover the cost for this insurance plan. Forms that were sent home will need to be returned with this fee so that your student may be able to participate. Please return forms and payment to Ms. Kimberly Brunson, Parent & Community Involvement Coordinator.

What is WorkKeys?


WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring "real-world" skills that employers believe are critical to job success.


Who takes WorkKeys?

All students in grade 11. This may mean students enrolled in grade 11 or students in their 3rd year of high school. 


When will WorkKeys be administered?

April 29, 2015. The makeup date is May 13, 2015. Students requiring testing accommodations will test during the window of April 29-May 13, 2015.

Student Debts:
Please be aware that as of Thursday, September 4, 2014 all students were notified of their student debt, and will continue to receive notification throughout the year. Teachers, in an effort to decrease student debt please read the following information to your students:
Please be aware that if you have any amount of school debt you will not be able to participate in the following extra-curricular activities, until payments have been paid in full or arrangements made: (activities include but are not limited to)
o Homecoming
o Pep Rallies
o Prom
o School-wide assemblies
o Student Elections
In the next few weeks Dr. Green will be meeting with students by grade level to discuss their outstanding debt. If you need to make payment arrangements, please see Dr. Green.

Career & College Expo 2014

The Eau Claire High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is planning an extraordinary Student Awareness Career/College Expo Thursday, February 26, 2015.
