 A Mighty Shamrock Congratulations to The Mock Trial team for their achievements during their competition on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Lexington County Courthouse.

Von'terrious Craig was selected as Most Effective Attorney during Round One by the scoring judges.

Von'terrious Craig and Carlei Washington were selected as Most Effective Attorney by student vote during their respective rounds.

Shamecca Smith and Chanel Wilson were voted as the Most Effective Witness by the students in their rounds.

The members of the Mock Trial Team are as follows: Von'terrious Craig, Samuel Alvarado, MarQuisha Neal, Kahleia Harris, Shammeca Smith, Jasmin Powell, Carlei Washington, Jordan Thompson, Zeinab Sharif, Imani Robinson, Chanel Wilson, Aaliyah Watkins, and Demarius Crutchfield. Attention Parents and Guardians of students with Laptop Computers.

There is a Mandatory Protection Plan associated with the wireless devices that students will have in their care. This plan covers the cost of theft, loss or damage to the device and prevents you from being responsible for the full cost of the device ($759.23) It is imperative that the $30.00 fee is paid in full to cover the cost for this insurance plan. No refunds. Please make payments to Ms. Kimberly Brunson, Parent & Community Involvement Coordinator.

WorkKeys for 11th
Grade Students

What is WorkKeys?

WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring "real-world" skills that employers believe are critical to job success.

Who takes WorkKeys?

All students in grade 11. This may mean students enrolled in grade 11 or students in their 3rd year of high school. 

When will WorkKeys be administered?

April 29, 2015. The makeup date is May 13, 2015. Students requiring testing accommodations will test during the window of April 29-May 13, 2015.

Student Debts:
Please be aware that as of Thursday, September 4, 2014 all students were notified of their student debt, and will continue to receive notification throughout the year. Teachers, in an effort to decrease student debt please read the following information to your students:
Please be aware that if you have any amount of school debt you will not be able to participate in the following extra-curricular activities, until payments have been paid in full or arrangements made: (activities include but are not limited to)
o Homecoming
o Pep Rallies
o Prom
o School-wide assemblies
o Student Elections
In the next few weeks Dr. Green will be meeting with students by grade level to discuss their outstanding debt. If you need to make payment arrangements, please see Dr. Green.
